One compute unit is 50% CPU core capacity and 1GB of RAM per participant.

Compute units can be scaled linearly, which proportionally scales the cost of the test.

Price on agreement

Loadero service is billed based on how much compute units you request in a test.

Compute units are billed for every test run that you launch, summing them over one month period.

Background

Would you like your tests to be created by
a team of experienced engineers?

  • Our team has worked on performance and load tests of various complexity and is ready to create them for you.
  • We will create a test tailored to your needs to simulate real users behaviour and interaction with your application.
  • You will be able to relaunch tests created for you whenever you need to validate application performance.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial?Arrow down icon
Yes, we provide a free trial and you do not need to provide credit card details to try out Loadero. Sign up for a new account, create your first project and the trial plan will be assigned to it. It will allow you to launch multiple tests and use up to 100 compute units total during the next 14 days. Some of Loadero features are not available in the trial plan.
Can I schedule a demo?Arrow down icon
Yes, just contact us in a way that is comfortable for you: via a contact form on our homepage, via the support web chat or by sending an email to support@loadero.com. We will respond to you as soon as possible and schedule the demo at a convenient time. To make the demo more relevant for you, you can include additional information about your company and the use case that you are looking to solve.
What is a compute unit?Arrow down icon
Compute unit is a value that determines the amount of machine resources that will be assigned to a test participant. A single compute unit (G1) is 50% CPU core capacity and 1GB of RAM. Variable compute units allow different applications to use Loadero efficiently - without wasting resources and at the same time having enough resources for the application to function properly.
How to choose compute unit size?Arrow down icon
Picking the right value for compute unit fully depends on the app you are testing. When using video or audio feed, we suggest choosing at least G2 (a full CPU core and 2GB of RAM) compute unit, for more resource-demanding actions like group calls or peer-to-peer calls most of the time G4 or higher compute unit is necessary. For other applications, such as e-commerce sites using G1 compute unit should be sufficient. Learn more about compute units and choosing correctly for your needs.
How to calculate the cost of a test run?Arrow down icon
The cost of a test run depends on your pricing plan and the number of compute units used. Each participant has a setting of compute units assigned (G1 is one compute unit, G2 is two compute units etc.), you have to multiply that by the "Participant count" parameter and by the "Group count" of the participant's group. Do this for every participant you configured in your test and you will get the total number of compute units required for the test run. To calculate the cost of it multiply the number of compute units with the price per compute unit in your plan.
Do I pay for every test run?Arrow down icon
Loadero charges you for every test run you trigger, irrespective of how long the test will run. To perform tests Loadero launches physical resources that cause direct cost for each test. For example, if you run a test of 100 compute units for 5 minutes and another test with 100 compute units, you will have to pay for 200 compute units in total (price per compute unit will vary depending on your plan). There are some exceptions to this, for example, if you cancel your test run before any resources have been allocated or if the test fails due to a Loadero problem (test status “Server error” or “AWS error”).
When will I be billed?Arrow down icon
With pay as you go plans you will be billed on the first day of the new billing period for the compute units used during the previous billing period. With the Monthly (Yearly) Subscription you will be billed once a month (year) on the same date you upgraded your plan for the fixed price of the plan. You will be additionally billed once a month for any usage that exceeds the amount of compute units included in the plan.
Can I limit the amount I will be billed?Arrow down icon
There is no way to limit your usage, so you will have to monitor it yourself. You can see how many compute units you have used and their cost in your project in Settings -> Plan & Usage.
Can I purchase compute units in advance?Arrow down icon
You can't purchase a chosen amount of compute units. With pay as you go plans you don't need to purchase compute units in advance, instead you will be billed only for the amount you have used. If you upgrade to the Monthly or Yearly Subscription plan, 10 000 compute units will be included for you to use in the month's period.
What is included in the Basic and Premium support?Arrow down icon
Basic support
  • Reply in the support chat times during working hours (08:00 - 18:00 EET), response times up to the next business day.
  • We share relevant articles in our blog and wiki.
  • Answers to direct questions about Loadero usage, features, pricing.
  • An investigation by the development team if a potential Loadero bug is reported (on the same project). The response does not necessarily include a fix for the issue if the bug is determined not to be on Loadero.
  • In case of support requirements on how a framework works or behaves, we will guide customer to the framework documentation.
Premium support
  • Reply time is no more than 18 hours.
  • Issue or question resolution is prioritized over basic support.
  • Provide users code snippets that perform specific actions requested (eg. using `done` callback in Nightwatch, selecting specific credentials, etc).
  • An investigation by the development team if a potential Loadero bug is reported (on the same project). In case the bug is determined not to be on Loadero, developers will give guidelines on how to fix it.
  • In case of misunderstanding of how a framework works or behaves, we will give examples of how to achieve the desired outcome.
Enterprise support
  • Reply time is no more than 12 hours.
  • Enterprise support generally corresponds to premium support, except with a higher priority of issue resolution.
  • For features suggested or requested by enterprise customers we look into them as soon as reasonably possible. We prioritize these features development more.
  • If explicitly agreed in the contract, we can spend predetermined number of hours every month looking into the client test, script or application.
Is my Monthly subscription limited to 10 000 compute units?Arrow down icon
Monthly usage limit for the subscription plan is 200 000 compute units. 10 000 are included in the subscription cost and each next used compute unit is billed additionally at $0.045 per unit.
What are usage limitations in the Yearly subscription plan?Arrow down icon
Yearly subscription is similar to our Monthly subscription, but lasts for 12 months. It includes 10 000 compute units each month. You can spend more compute units in a month, then each next used compute unit is billed additionally at $0.045 per unit, charging your card on a monthly basis.
Can I switch my plan?Arrow down icon
You can switch your plan at any moment. To do this login to your account, choose a project to update, and go to Settings -> Plan & Usage and switch to a plan you need. In Loadero the plan is assigned to a project, not to your account, so you can have multiple projects with different plans assigned to them. Currently to change your plan, you need to cancel the previous plan and then select a new one. This will change in the future and you will be able to change your plan without cancelling beforehand.
Can I run a longer test than my plan allows?Arrow down icon
Maximum test run duration differs across our plans. If you want to run a test that is longer than 45 minutes, you can upgrade to the Pay as You Go: Ultimate plan that allows up to 2h long tests. Another option is to create a new project and assign the Pay as You Go: Ultimate plan to it, you can have multiple projects with different plans assigned to them. For tests longer than 2h contact support for a custom plan.
